[0:00:29 - 0:00:34] crash retrieval and r
everse engineering program. But what investigative journalist has
[0:01:00 - 0:01:06] I've always approached it as a news story. It's not my religion, it's not a belief. I don't know what to beli
eve even now.
[0:01:19 - 0:01:26] No one who knew area 51 from the inside
ever talked publicly. Well there's s
everal, actually nine flying thoughts.
[0:02:09 - 0:02:22] And I have secret stashes and files and things all over the station because I'm a packer out. I keep
everything.
[0:04:00 - 0:04:06] Back to KLVX, I would toil there, do what
ever jobs they asked. About two months later, their anchor man quit.
[0:04:15 - 0:04:27] And it was crazy. It could n
ever happen again. And within a year of doing that, KLVX, Bob Stodall, and a guy named Ned Day, took notice of me invited me to come over and I've been here
ever since.
[0:04:36 - 0:04:44] There was so much going on.
Every day was a bust, a gaming control board hearing, a trial. There was always something going on because it was the start of the push to get rid of them.
[0:05:11 - 0:05:20] Would you do a style for
every story or what was your system? Yeah. People would mail you stuff or I mean people would mail me stuff. Almost
every day.
[0:06:22 - 0:06:31] You're a member of the famous Lear family that all the vatins are pretty much familiar with his father had d
eveloped the Lear jet and he had a passion for secret planes.
[0:06:55 - 0:07:07] And one day John Lear walks into the news station. This is in 1987 with a stack of documents, UFO documents. And he plops them on Ned Day's desk and he says, Ned, this is the biggest story you will
ever cover in your life.
[0:07:18 - 0:07:27] If this was true, this UFO cover up, then I'd already know about it. He says, I'm
Eve's dropping as I tend to do. And I said, Mr. Lear, let me take a look at that stuff.
[0:07:40 - 0:07:48] And I went air on Saturday or Sunday morning at six or s
even o'clock and I said, John, you want to do this show? And I put him on and I just let him go.
[0:07:59 - 0:08:09] And I have found out that the government has retri
eved between 10 and 15, flat short flying saucers, three of which have been in perfect condition, one of which they tried to fly.
[0:08:09 - 0:08:27] They have between 30 and 50 alien bodies in cryogenic storage. We
even have the name of the person whose job it is to show these bodies to the heads of state and the people who are authorized to see them. They represent at least five different civilizations.
[0:09:30 - 0:09:42] R
evelations. What we've learned this week is that the government is lied to us about UFOs. As with held information, as spied on UFO organizations and as discredited UFO witnesses.
[0:10:20 - 0:10:36] I'm not looking this up. This is an air for you can pick out an Air Force physics book and read this stuff. And at the end of the chapter, they go on to say this leads us to beli
eve in the unpleasant possibility of alien visitors to our planet or at least of alien controlled UFOs.
[0:14:01 - 0:14:07] So I try to educate myself and get ready for that next Lear appearance and the response from the public was
even bigger.
[0:15:45 - 0:15:51] You beli
eve in part that the movie's ET close encounters of the third kind.
[0:17:27 - 0:17:37] What George didn't know was that this would be
even bigger than John Lear it turned out to change
everything we know about the government and UFOs.
[0:18:34 - 0:18:39] Can we talk to him I don't
even know his name we put a silhouette we create a silhouette interview.
[0:20:09 - 0:20:16] We said well this is technology that we do not have. We were r
everse engineering it and I didn't know what that meant. I'd n
ever heard of it before.
[0:21:09 - 0:21:14] Will the government
ever tell us about the testing and do the Soviets know about this?
[0:21:28 - 0:21:38] And as far as them r
evealing it I'm sure they have
every intention of claiming that all the technology was d
eveloped here and it was absolutely not.
[0:21:49 - 0:21:57] As far as whether they have disc or not I don't know. I don't
even know if they had knowledge that we actually had any there.
[0:22:13 - 0:22:18] Some people beli
eve that maybe we're building Star Wars for something other than the Soviets.
[0:23:20 - 0:23:28] Since those stories tens of thousands of people have beaten a path out there to look around in the sky and see what
ever is flying around.
[0:23:46 - 0:23:55] Well there's s
everal actually nine flying saucers flying disk that are out there of extraterrestrial origin.
[0:25:10 - 0:25:14] The bus filled with employees it comes in and out of the base s
everal times each day.
[0:27:09 - 0:27:16] These photos n
ever before shown in public are about as close as anyone will
ever come to seeing what the place looks like again.
[0:27:44 - 0:27:51] The SR-71 spy planes that spotted Soviet missiles in Cuba in the early 60s were also d
eveloped at 51.
[0:28:52 - 0:28:56] What
ever is flying around out there still attracts visitors from all over the world.
[0:30:33 - 0:30:38] George first r
evealed the lengths the government appeared to be taking to keep Area 51 a guarded secret,
[0:33:36 - 0:33:40] Every major news organization in the world has beaten a path to Area 51's door.
[0:33:46 - 0:33:51] Our stories about Area 51, but you've n
ever been out there sitting in the desert night after night as we've done.
[0:34:26 - 0:34:33] Despite the speculation, no one who knew Area 51 from the inside
ever talked publicly about the saucer story.
[0:34:47 - 0:34:51] I don't
even know his name. I get pulled off the set and pulled into the news director's office.
[0:36:23 - 0:36:26] Right, this came from somewhere else. I mean, as a bizarre as that is to beli
eve.
[0:36:58 - 0:37:04] He says he earned degrees in physics and electronics, but the schools we contacted say they've n
ever heard of him.
[0:37:16 - 0:37:21] Los Alamos officials told us they had no records of a Robert Lazar
ever working there.
[0:40:34 - 0:40:42] Now, none of this proves that UFOs are real, but it does indicate a disturbing l
evel of interest, government interest, and the subject.
